Friends of the River Crane

Volunteer Days

Our Volunteer Sundays take place on the second Sunday in each month from October through June. We work at a variety of locations in the Lower Crane Valley, and whatever the age or ability of the volunteers, we have a way in which each individual can help. We encourage people to join us for an hour, the whole day, or just say hello and find out what we are up to. Our volunteer Sundays are geared around general maintenance and environmental enhancement and always include an element of litter picking – the photo below is of our February volunteer Sunday at the Hanworth Road end of Crane Park.

Recently we’ve been working with Richmond Borough Council on their clean streets campaign looking at reducing the use of plastics and raising awareness of fly tipping – below are a couple links you might find useful.

Walks & Talks

We run a seris of walks and talks throughout the year which are free to anyone that would like to come along – here’s the schedule for this year so far – https://www.force.org.uk/learn/community-learning-walks-t/

Leaflets & Maps

We’ve also created a series of leaflets and downloadable maps which we use at events and are available to download and print from our website. https://www.force.org.uk/discover/

Hopefully this is the sort of thing you’re after – I’m happy to supply more information and photographs if needed.

Kind regards
