Housing Secretary Stops Mayor publishing London Plan
In a political move, the Government’s Housing Secretary has told Mayor Khan to rewrite his London Plan, removing all safeguards and aspirations to preserve green space in the capital. Neil Sinden of CPRE London wrote supporting increasing housing but warning that this would fuel threats to green space… London has less than 2/3s of the green open space it needs for the number of people

It doesn’t have to be like this. So CPRE have produced their Space to Build reports to address, and publicise this problem. They identify the sites for housing that are brown sites, and they are
* not green space, * not green belt, * and do not comprise of town cramming for existing town centres.

If you live in another borough, ask and help CPRE compose one to stop your green space being built on!
