Understanding ‘Woodlands’: Survey for members of Friends Groups

To members of all Friends Groups

The public, and even experienced members of Friends Groups, can get confused by the various terms for woodland used in planning and policy documents: ‘long-established woodland’, ‘ancient woodland’, ‘irreplaceable habitat’ etc.

We have been asked to promote to you a short 10-minute national survey about this, the results of which may inform future official terminology usage. We are happy to urge you and your members to fill it in!

Please forward to your members. Deadline for your responses is Friday 10th October.
