Update on news items from the Friends of Pinner village Gardens – looking after a large and beautiful park in Pinner, NW London since 2015 – 145 members and 340 Facebook followers
We have a 5 year plan with short/medium and long term projects and this year are fundraising for new play equipment in the children’s playground in the park
We now have reached £13K towards the £45K target with a further pledge of £5K and are ordering the first 3 pieces of equipment

Easter event – 14/4 – plant/book sale netted £560 net profit
sponsored 3kms fun run round Pinner Village gardens – 29/4 – Harrow CEO tom whiting opened events – I have many photos for you if interested – cold day 6 degrees but 50 people took part – all ages and levels – got certificates and raised £300
Cake sale supported at Nower hill organised by a year 8 child raised £120 and Nower hill school are supporting us as this is their local park stall at the St George’s Day 22/4 – raised over £180
Next big fundraiser with 18 family fun stalls in the playground itself and Brixton fair ground rides in the park, ice cream van, face painting, live music from local women’s and children’s choir – 12-4pm 7/7 – being opened by harrow mayor
Lots of other projects for the park planned too – stage 2 of the new English bluebell wood an after stage one blooming so well, planting a new wildflower meadow, creating some bug hotels, new benches, new signage and noticeboards so people can see and take part in events and activities in the park such as tai chi, personal training etc.
