We celebrate the very best green spaces through our international Green Flag Award and People’s Choice vote. We help to improve them even more through our innovations, #LitterHeroes and campaigns.

But because parks are so important, we take a week each year to really showcase them. During Love Parks Week, now in its 12th year, we encourage everyone to get out, enjoy their favourite park and share with the world why they love their park and why parks matter to them.

Purpose & aims

• To ensure that everybody has access to quality green and other open spaces, irrespective of where they live.
• To ensure that these spaces are appropriately managed and meet the needs of the communities that they serve.
• To establish standards of good management.
• To promote and share good practice amongst the green space sector.
• To recognise and reward the hard work of managers, staff and volunteers.
